This image is a part of the song called 'Sadka Hua'. It is my personal favourite song from the film. It's where Imran Khan falls in love and it's the song that we all cracked first. It's an intense love song and it's the first time when Sonam wore a saree in the film and it's the first time when Imran wears his red silk shirt and does all the filmy things together. It's a sensuous song. Interestingly, the entire crew was busy doing their own stuff and we had no one to help Sonam with the maple leaves. So I jumped in the action and sat next to Sonam and passed her some flowers in that song.

It's like Sonam doing something quite bizarre or Imran Khan doing something quite absurd or their director Punit Malhotra trying to make the opposites attract. All said, 'Behind the Scenes' images give you more insight than the stills from a film because those images take you on a journey of how the film was eventually made. UK's Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama's London correspondent takes you on a journey where Punit Malhotra shares some fascinating facts about the scenes from the behind his debut film I Hate LUV Storys.
The picture which you're seeing is the part of the biggest scene in the film. It's a scene where Imran and Sonam become friends. They hate each other ever since they met but this scene is like an ice breaker. Both leave their inhibitions aside and become friends. It's a prelude to the main friendship song from the film 'Jab Mila Tu'. What's more, the scene is actually shot in four parts. This is part three of the scene and is the only part which is edited out. But no one will be able to catch it because they are in the same costume throughout the scene. This scene took me the longest to write in the entire film. It's a 'done to death' scene but what makes it interesting is the fact that I've tried to show the interactions between two newly formed friends different from what has shown before on celluloid. -

This is a scene which was supposed to be shot in New Zealand and we cheated and shot it in Mumbai (laughs). It's a scene between Aamir Ali and Imran Khan. For me, it's the cutest scene of the film. Aamir Ali plays the super star and it was Imran's last day of the shoot too just before he had shot the title song. We all stayed on board as we were coming at the grand finale of our film shoot. We were all in some strange zone in that scene. And to say that we were getting emotional could be an understatement.

This is an interesting picture. It's a part of the pre-climax scene which we shot at the Pune airport but in the film, you'll see it as the Mumbai airport. I am explaining him one of the crucial scenes to Imran. This is also a 'done to death' scene in Hindi films. So how to tweak it was more crucial. It was very essential that Imran got the tone bang on as he is having some conversation with someone in the lounge area of the airport. I was giving him dialogues from the other end.
