I just worked on Tevar with Arjun. Arjun is one of my oldest friends. I had styled him for his first shoot and have seen him change so much over the years both weight and fashion wise. He has a very different body type. He is tall and broad. Arjun loves his formals, he really rocks a suit. What looks the good on Shahid may not look that good on Varun or Arjun as they are all different body types. Younger actors have a fresh take on what works with their body type. They experiment and play with what works in their zone. That's where they connect with my design concepts that far more today and contemporary.

Varun is a really old friend of mine; he recently launched my range at Aza. I am also very close to his family and had earlier worked with his brother Rohit on Desi Boyz. Varun has developed his style over the years. He is full of life and energy and this energy is reflected in the way he carries his clothes. I styled Varun in Main Tera Hero and it was the first time I was working with him on a film. It was one of my favourite films to be a part of. The film was so full of life and so much fun that the fun transferred to clothes. Varun is so sparky on screen that you can't get your eyes off him and that is a big advantage for somebody who is doing clothes for him. In Main Tera Hero, I did a big number of changes and looks on Varun and also used a lot of cheeky prints. In the song Galat Baat Hai we used neon accents on shirts that caught on like crazy. I have seen interesting rip offs of the neon accent shirt in different colour combinations on a number of people. It is nice to see your designs being worn by regular people. Actors like Varun have a huge reach and are great influencers. This also makes us responsible to not put bad fashion out there as you are going to see people wear it.

Shahid is a great looking guy with a strong fashion personality. He is somebody who looks very good in classics so I always keep that in mind while I am styling him or designing something for him. The good thing about Shahid is that he likes trying new things and that's how we have developed so many interesting styles together. He doesn't mind pushing the envelope when it comes to fashion. Shahid loves contemporary designs and that reflects in his clothes. The interesting thing about dressing a Bollywood actor like Shahid is the kind of requirement that is there whether it's for a character in a film or a stage show.
