The first thing that came to peoples mind after watching the promo of London Paris New York was the word 'fresh'. 'We want to watch you guys' is what many said. It's young, fresh, with lots of energy and fabulous chemistry. But above all, they're thinking that it's edgy quirky and yet romantic.

In my previous two movies I haven't got enough screen space but I have learnt so much in those few minutes I've spent with some of our industry's finest actors. I will hold Delhi 6, Yeh Saali Zindagi and Rockstar as special movies all my life. When Sudhir Mishra offered me that part in YSZ, he told me that it was a parallel love story. I understood him completely and I told him that I wanted to work with him be it whatever part I had to play in the film. I wanted to have that experience of working with a senior established director and I got that. But what's really nice was the fact that my part was appreciated by one and all. I haven't made the best choices for the leading lady but I feel every time I've done something like this, the only thing people have told me is that they want to see me in a full two hour movie. Mira Nair too had similar thoughts, which is a huge compliment.

London's got that old world charm to it. There's so much history. Our history is also connected with theirs and that's why I relate to that city. There's a kind of comfort I feel in London and at the same time it's very modern as well. Street fashion is beautiful, courtesy Kate Moss I believe. I really want to say this. For somebody new in the industry, it takes a huge leap of faith for people to cast you in a lead role. I have no networking skills and know nobody here and yet I was offered London Paris New York. Shrishti Arya and Goldie Behl, my producers, saw me in a small dance sequence in Yeh Saali Zindagi and then they saw the Airtel advert. That's when they decided to make me their girl. They are like family.

Shrishti micro manages everything. She made a calendar for me and Ali because she knows that I like to see things in a calendar format. She will personally see to it that Ali and I have gotten something to eat in spite of us having our spot boys looking after us. She will do it on her own. She will come and see what I'm wearing and once even gave her jewellery to be dressed in. That's how personal she gets as a producer and not many have that knack. Once my maid wasn't there and I wasn't keeping that well but she fed me. She is my producer and not my mother. But Shrishti for me is like my mom. She passes on her energy and how.

Awards! This is what one always wants for a year to begin with. There's love, there's encouragement, etc. I woke up on New Year's with a call from my mother saying - Look out for the article in a magazine that says Aditi, along with Vidya, Ranbir and Imran are the four people to look out for in 2012. I've waited for two years for someone to take notice of me. I feel very privileged. I am an outsider and I feel as a part of the industry.

Paris is a whole different ball game. Again, there is lots of history but I find Paris darker. I've been to Paris before but this time the experience was very different. There's certain intensity in Paris. London was light and frothy. People say that Paris is a city of romance but even the romance has got that intensity. The architecture is splendid.

There's a crazy kind of 'high' that I get when I visit New York.

The directors and producers I've worked with in my earlier films have found me and it's a concession to have worked under them. I have to only thank Lord for it.
