Anil Kapoor Films Company and PVR Pictures' Aisha starring Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles is all set for release on August 6. Based on Jane Austen's novel 'Emma', Aisha is directed by debutant director Rajshree Ojha and produced by Anil Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Ajay Bijli and Sanjeev Bijli. While the first look was unveiled a few days ago, the first exclusive promo of the film is likely to be shown in theatres along with this week's big release Raavan. Meanwhile, we bring you a brief character sketch of the interesting characters that you are likely to encounter while watching Aisha.
Television's funny man and popular VJ Cyrus Sahukar would be seen playing the character of Randhir Gambhir, your typical Punjabi munda, from West Delhi. Incidentally, Cyrus also starred along side Sonam in her earlier film Delhi 6.
This is Ira Dubey, who plays Pinky Bose, Aisha's best friend, partner in crime and soul mate in the film. Ira is daughter of well known actress Lillette Dubey and was earlier seen in Rohan Sippy's production The President Is Coming.
Also, part of Aisha's gang is debutant actress Amrita Puri who plays the simple small town girl Shefali Thakur. It will be interesting to watch if this young and pretty actress makes the most of this big opportunity.
Finally, you have yet another newcomer Arunoday Singh who plays the role of the London returned Dhruv Singh, A charmer to the core; Dhruv can easily sweep any girl off her feet.
