Director of the series Bejoy Nambiar, also commented, "'Rush' is the ultimate youth trip - a roller coaster of emotions, a rush of LIFE. I made Shaitaan because it was the kind of film I myself wanted to see and that's the same reason we created MTV 'Rush' - to have a game changer on television; to give our audiences a novel experience - a 'Rush'."
'Rush' is a rollercoaster ride which looks at the lives of 12 young people whose paths get interlocked over 2 days in a college festival. This changes their perception of themselves and the world around them, giving every episode a thrilling and unexpected climax. And in the 13th epsiode, all the 12 stories come together to become one story. 'Rush' connects with the viewer through these 12 voices and 12 points of view. Chaos, dilemmas, choices and a host of other intense emotions will cross each other in this 48 hour high octane celebration of teen spirit. Every story and character is distinctively crafted, portraying a different face of human behavior and every twist captures the essence of this young generation. Keeping true to its depiction of college festivals and live acts, the show will include performances from the likes of Javed Jaffery, Shair n Func, Shruti Hassan, Isha Sharvani and many more. Additionally there will be several independent musicians like Bombay Bassment, Bhayanak Maut and Anirudh (of Kolaveri fame), composing fresh original compositions for the series.
He may be the odd ball in the industry with a fashion sense that defies convention but Prateik has made it his style statement. The actor who made his debut with the film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, and was most recently seen in Ekk Dewaana Tha will next be seen in Bejoy Nambiar's TV show 'Rush'.
Launching this July, 'Rush' is a 13 part series directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The show features Prateik playing a cameo in the first episode itself where he will be featured as a rockstar complete with the grunge look, piercings and dreadlocks.
