While Manyata sent her wishes to the actor, the rest of the film fraternity also gathered in support with wishes from celebs on his 54th birthday. Producer Bunty Walia, director Apoorva Lakhia and actor Ashish Chowdhry showed their support on Twitter, while reports state that Ranbir Kapoor and Rajkumar Hirani had sent birthday letters to him in prison.
Sanjay Dutt who is currently serving his prison sentence at the Yerwada jail in connection with his involvement in the 1993 blast case celebrated his birthday in the facility. Unlike earlier, Dutt had a much muted celebration this time; in fact the actor didn't have a cake to cut, despite the prison rule that permits inmates to buy cakes at the jail bakery. Apart from the cake, as per the prison rules, there was no special menu for the actor.
