Despite losing skipper Gautam Gambhir in the first over, KKR found an unlikely star in rookie Manvinder Bisla who slammed a match-winning knock of 89. He was ably supported by the old and trusted war-horse Jacques Kallis and despite a few hiccups, KKR managed to emerge victorious.
KKR, who has been having a dream run this IPL, started shakily as Chennai went on a rampage scoring a mammoth 190 in front of a packed home crowd all sporting the yellow jersey. The only support SRK had was in the form of his B-town colleagues like Sanjay Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Sajid Khan Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh who were cheering for KKR.
