Sunny may be related to Krishan Kumar but then too this film was signed purely on merit. " It's not like we were waiting to launch Sunny, we have the music for Paathshaala, and when we saw Sunny's rushes from the film we were very impressed, we saw star potential in the boy and so we have signed him on. Our decision was based purely on merit," say Krishan Kumar & Bhushan Kumar the head Honchos of T-Series.
"When Krishanji first mentioned to me the idea of making the film with a newcomer, I was a little skeptical, that was until I had a meeting with Sunny. The boy is superb and I have no doubt that he will be a star," says Priyadarshan. With such confidence coming for a well settled filmmaker, we guess Sunny has his path to fame paved.

Sunny's first modeling assignment was when he was just 18 months old; after that there was no looking back. He won awards and accolades in the advertising world. The list of ads he did is innumerable.
He was the lovable kid Vishal in 'Dekh Bhai Dekh' that no one has forgotten till date; he was the endearing Master Nandu in English Babu Desi Mem where he played Sonali Bendre and Shah Rukh Khan's son/nephew.
But Sunny is all grown up now and poised to be the new kid on the block, "I was out with my mom the other day in a crowded locality, people were staring at me, and someone came up and said... 'You are Vishal from Dekh Bhai Dekh?' Its incredible that people don't forget!"
Sunny says, "Who says dreams don't come true… do you know, when I was a teenager, which is not so long back, I was training at my gym once when my trainer asked me what I wanted to do in the future. I said, I want to be launched by Priyan sir someday, at that time I had never ever met him and now four years later, I am actually being launched by him, my dream has come true!"
Short changed in his supposed to be debut film Paathshala, Sunny has no regrets, "Everything happens for the best" he smiles. I believe in the universe and its karmic law and I don't get frazzled with what people do. Its ok, I just paid my 'entry fee'".
