Ajay Devgan's directorial debut U Me Aur Hum hits theatres on April 11th. It seems like Ajay Devgan was quite the taskmaster on the sets and wanted to get things done in his own unique way. This explains him coaxing wifey Kajol to do the tough salsa moves again and again until she got it right. Kajol didn't seem really excited at the idea of being thrown up six feet in the air by a group of dancers. In fact, she once ended up breaking the nose of one of the phirang dancers as she came down but Ajay was not the one to let go of her so easily. After giving some takes, Ajay finally decided to retain the first take much to Kajol's amusement.
For this song a whole bunch of trained dancers from abroad were called for, who did the salsa with ease. The shooting of the song was a novel experience as for the first time ever in India a Heli-cam was used to shoot portions of the song and the film. So, apart from the normal cameras moving here and there you even had the cute Heli-cam zipping across. Now with the song receiving praises from all quarters, the cast and crew must be surely beaming with joy, considering the amount of effort which has gone in behind picturising this number.
Seems it was not just Kajol who had a grueling time while shooting this dance number. In yet another interesting moment while shooting 'Jee Le', Ajay got hit by a lady dancer's sandal right on his face. The poor girl was really tensed on how Ajay would take it. While Ajay did get hit quite badly, he didn't show any signs of anger or frustration and carried on as if nothing had happened. Hmmm….surely a tough day at office for all concerned.
