Just as when everyone was sinking themselves into the New Year, there was news that shocked everyone. The news was about the sudden and untimely death of the legendary actor par excellence Om Puri, the man who is best remembered for his baritone voice as much as for the diverse characters that he had portrayed in his career spanning many years in Bollywood and also the west. Veteran actress Deepti Naval, who had acted with the late Om Puri in films like Heartless, Current, Mirch Masala and Holi recently took to the social media and posted some of the most heartfelt memories that were associated with the late actor Om Puri.
Deepti Naval posted a memorable photograph that was clicked during the making of the film Current that starred her alongwith the late Om Puri. While the film was directed by K. Hariharan, it was produced by National Film Development Corporation of India. Deepti Naval captioned the photograph as “We were shooting for the film 'CURRENT' in Gujarat”. -

Like everyone else, Deepti Naval, too was shocked with the news of the untimely death of the late Om Puri. Explaining her situation, Deepti Naval wrote, “I am in such a state of shock! Om ji gone . . . cannot fathom . . . he had so much to sort . . . so much unfinished business . . . how can he just go away like that . . . it is heartbreaking! My heart goes out to his wife Nandita and his son Ishaan. I wish I was next to them today to hold their hand . . . I have no words to express my grief . . .”
