Actor Vishal Malhotra is best remembered for his role as Shahid Kapoor's best friend Mambo in the super-hit Ishq- Vishk. After that he has done some small appearances in films like Kaal, Dor, Jannat and Kismat Konnection but has somehow not got enough footage to showcase his amazing talent. However this Friday's big release Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai (JKSAH) features Vishal in a prominent role so much so that the actor even appears in the film's hoardings along with the lead pair Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Vishal seems to be all praise for his co-star Riteish who is known for his impeccable comic timing. "Riteish is by far the best co-star I have worked with. Irrespective of the fate of the film, I can proudly say that this film will always be special as I have made some really good friends for life during the making of this film"
As for the funky T-shirts, Vishal says, "Yeah...I am seen wearing some really cool T-shirts with captions like 'I Am A Virgin' and 'I Just Got Laid'. They in a way signify my character's state of mind"

Speaking about his character Vishal says, "I play the character of Kaushal who happens to be Riteish's best friend. He is in fact the world's worst best friend. Actually he is quite a normal guy who falls into funny situations. He wants to become a cinematographer but he is so bad at his work that he keeps landing himself and Riteish's character into some really hilarious situations."
A notable feature of Vishal's character in JKSAH is the funky, double-meaning T-shirts that he is seen sporting. Says director Milap Zaveri, "Vishal's character is still a Virgin at the age of 25 and deep inside he has lost hope that he will ever lose that status. The situations he lands himself in are truly hilarious. He is the comic mainstay of the film and got along so well with Riteish that their comic timing has to be seen to be believed. Hence we decided to dress him in some really cool and funky tees that go well with his character."
Though who have seen the rushes have been mighty impressed with Vishal's comic timing. Says director Milap Zaveri, "Vishal is always remembered for his role of Mambo in Ishq Vishk but I am pretty sure that after JKSAH he will remembered for his role of Kaushal in the film. He is genuinely good."
One hopes that JKSAH indeed proves to be the turning point in Vishal Malhotra's career.
